Possible pcmanfm2 file manager (Rox still available)
Modular build system. Tutorial on how anyone can create their own add-on
proposed:
Jemimah choice apps
Tman alternative lighter version
Window manager will be Metacity, (which is what Gnome uses)
Taskbar will be Xfce panel. ttuuxxx uses this combination in his
Classicpup 2.14X and it has the look of Xfce, but uses less resources
The alternate window manager will be either Icewm or Jwm

Jemimah and Tman are reviving Saluki

Key features

• Target systems will be modern to semi-modern hardware
• ISO size should be 150MB or smaller
• Based on Racy 5.2.2 or Wary with a new xorg and kernel
• Focus will be user friendliness, innovation, artistic look and feel, and solid, functional applications
• IceWM and possibly PCManFM2 Window managers

 

As well as genie and vala which has not yet created a rush of Puppy
programs, Puppy has supported a variety of programming languages
including tkl, freebasic and wxbasic (morphed into puppybasic)

Another way of generating new code is with a 'script library'

The potential of HTML5 will also be available
and HTML5 will be sufficient to offer offline and cloud facilities

Personally I would prefer the use of ASQ but it has not been invented yet . . .

Stripe and 8bit are now able to contibute to this wiki by sending blog posts from email. So we now have all the four  main developers and three testers able to contribute directly by email. Comments can be added by anyone. Jemimah is occassionaly on IRC (click on chat in all Puppys and most puplets)

Does anyone know if we have any answers to these questions?

What is the minimum base hardware we are developing for?
Which kernel are we using?
What are we bootstrapping from?
When will an ISO and devx to start compiling apps and testing be available
